Note: Road construction projects depend on weather conditions and can often be delayed by inclement weather. Schedules and information below is the most current available, but are subject to weather delays or other changes.

City Projects
Safe Routes to School - The City's Safe Routes to School roadway crossing improvements project began on March 25. City contractors will be working in a few locations around town for this project:
  • North 9th Street between West Franklin Street and the alley to the south
  • Intersection of West Franklin and North 7th Streets
  • Existing pedestrian crossing across Shelton Springs Road, just north of the south driveway for Shelton High School

Well #1 Pipeline Pressurization Project - 
The City's Well #1 pipeline pressurization project began on February 12. There are a couple of traffic impacts to be aware of with this project:
  • Intersection of North 13th and East K Streets - The project contractor will implement a traffic revision in the inside lane at this intersection to install a new precast valve vault. The revision will be installed every morning at 7 a.m., and the contractor will remove the revision at the end of the day. 
  • Intersection of North 12th and East E Streets - The project contractor will close the intersection of North 12th and East E Streets. Local access in and out will be available.
  • Intersection of North 10th and Connection Streets - The project contractor will close the intersection of North 10th and Connection Streets. Local access in and out will be available.
Other Projects/Events
Special event: Railroad Avenue between 2nd and 5th Streets - On Saturday, April 20, Railroad Avenue will be closed between 2nd and 5th Streets from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the 2024 Olympus Rally Car Show, as part of their special event permit.
