Wastewater Treatment Plant Loses Power, Conditionally Approved Shellfish Growing Areas Closed

The City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant lost power during this week’s major storms. During the transfer to backup generator power, the communications to the disinfection system and SCADA control, which monitors the effluent leaving the Treatment Plant, were compromised.
