Shelton Police Respond to Bomb Threat on Railroad Avenue
On November 21, 2025, at approximately 4:19 p.m., the Shelton Police Department responded to a reported bomb threat in the 400 block of Railroad Avenue.
As a precaution, law enforcement closed Railroad Avenue for approximately 90 minutes while officers conducted a thorough investigation. The Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad was consulted as part of the response. After evaluating the situation and performing a search of the area, officers determined that there was no credible threat to public safety, and the roadway was subsequently reopened.
The Shelton Police Department extends its appreciation to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, Central Mason Fire & EMS, and the City of Shelton Public Works department for their assistance and coordinated response.
